You will be an integral part of our Warsaw software engineering team and will play a crucial role in defining the technology roadmap, architecture, and vision for the next generation data engineering platform.

The Systems Engineering team is one of the fastest growing groups within Real-World Solutions (RWS) Technology division. We are enthusiastic about Agile software development, are one of the strongest advocates for DevOps and Test-Driven Development (TDD) in the group and believe strongly in enabling individuals to be their best by allowing them to be independent and be part of a self-organizing team.

The ideal candidate will be curious, have attention to detail, and be comfortable thinking big while also diving deep. You have a passion for software development and a solid expertise across the entire software development lifecycle. You can identify and explain why various design patterns are either awesome or constraining.

In your daily work, you will work with a team of Architects responsible for designing an effective solution, with Data Analysts who will help you understand the domain and medical data, as well as with the Quality assurance team, which will ensure high standards of software quality.

Job Responsibilities: 

• work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Development team to provide reliable and high-performing solutions;
• build pipelines for processing big amount of medical data;
• work across teams to be the expert consulted on most complex problems, coaching more junior team members;
• influence the Spark/Scala guild as the subject matter expert inspiring others to connect and seek synergies across projects;
• consistently and proactively expanding knowledge, network, and know-how to incorporate new thinking into current processes/products/tools/methods;
• maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies;
• strong focus on delivering high standards and promoting best practices.

Obowiązki:

Qualifications: 

• 7+ years of commercial experience in designing, developing enterprise applications;
• 4+ years knowledge in Big Data Stream/Batch processing;
• full understanding of Microservices Architecture;
• strong software development background (Scala, Apache Spark) including design patterns, data structures, test driven development;
• understands the complete context / tooling for software build and deployment;
• experience with one or more of: Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, HDFS; 
• avanced knowledge of the NoSQL database such as Hive, HBase, Cassandra, ElasticSearch or others.
